Kind of like a diary that isn't secret?

So I'm a little bit confused about this blogging thing, but thought I'd give it a shot. I have friends and family that use blogging as a tool to communicate life's biggest events; pregnancy, marriage, travel etc. For me...I still think of this whole blogging thing as a little bit odd. Like writing in a diary for everyone to see!? What is that?! Anywho, I enjoy reading other people's blogs, but I am not sure anyone would be so inclined to read mine. If for nothing else than for my own sake, I'd like to record the little things in life. The simple joys, and the silly day to day things. Here goes nothing. :)
